A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged case of receiving stolen property. The Southern Division operations team executed a raid at the suspect’s residence in Cunningham on Friday, where they confiscated electronic items and valuables believed to have been stolen.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu stated that ongoing investigations are aimed at identifying individuals who receive stolen goods in an effort to reduce theft and robbery incidents. He noted that opportunists tend to target items that can be easily sold for cash, including mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, and jewelry. Those involved in these activities are currently being monitored by the police.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Nabua Police Station.
