Lemeki Senikau, the captain of the Ratu Kadavulevu School Under-17 team, is focusing on enhancing his kicking and positional skills ahead of the Vodafone Deans Trophy final on Saturday. Following their semi-final victory of 38-11 against Ratu Navula College, Senikau and his teammates are set to compete against Marist Brothers High School in the championship match.
In an interview with SUNsports, Senikau emphasized the importance of remaining calm under pressure during the final. He attributed their strong performance on the field to the unity among the players. “We rely on God’s strength and guidance in our performance on the field,” he noted.
Senikau dedicated the team’s success to their parents, friends, and alumni, acknowledging the challenges faced during their 13-week training program. Despite the obstacles, the team persevered and remained focused.
