The Fiji Labour Party (FLP) is urging the expulsion of former Minister for Women, Social Welfare, and Child Protection Lynda Tabuya from Parliament. FLP leader Mahendra Chaudhry expressed that Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka could have mitigated recent embarrassment for his government and the People’s Alliance Party (PAP) if he had taken action earlier regarding Tabuya’s alleged misconduct during an official trip to Australia that resulted in her removal as deputy PAP leader.

Additionally, he suggested that the matter warrants a police investigation concerning potential drug and pornography offenses.
