Independent parliamentarian Mosese Bulitavu has expressed gratitude to Speaker of the House Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu for allowing him and 16 former FijiFirst Members to retain their seats in Parliament.
“I would like to thank you for your wisdom and your decision in the past few months that has enabled 17 of us to keep our seats and not vacate them,” said Bulitavu.
“We appreciate your confidence in us. Our party, which has been deregistered, tried to terminate us. However, you heard our side of the story and, after seeking various legal opinions, decided that we could continue as Members of Parliament without vacating our seats.”
