The Cabinet has sanctioned a second redeployment of funds within the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address over-expenditure issues in the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force. A total of FJ$7,936,665.94 (VIP) will be reallocated from the existing budget to regularize these financial discrepancies for both entities. The first redeployment was authorized in July this year, which addressed additional expenditure requirements amounting to FJ$105,185,000.00 (VIP) for various agencies and projects. This redeployment process is conducted in accordance with the stipulations of the Financial Management Act.
