The Cabinet has given its approval for a second redeployment of funds from the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address the over-expenditure experienced by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force.
An amount of FJ$7,936,665.94 will be redirected from the existing budget to regularize the overspending by these two agencies.
The first redeployment was sanctioned in July of this year, allocating an additional FJ$105,185,000.00 for various agencies and projects.
This redeployment process is carried out in compliance with the Financial Management Act.
