The Cabinet has sanctioned a second allocation of funds within the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address the over-expenditure incurred by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force. A sum of FJ$7,936,665.94 (VIP) will be reallocated to regularize the overspending by these two entities.
Earlier this year, in July, the Cabinet approved a first redeployment to cover an additional expenditure of FJ$105,185,000.00 (VIP) for various agencies and projects. This redeployment process complies with the provisions of the Financial Management Act.
