Bua has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship, scheduled for tomorrow, after moving from Group A. Fiji FA officials have announced that while Nasinu and Lami initially secured their spots, a decision based on Fair Play points allowed Bua to advance.
This development follows reports of several Bua players testing positive for drugs prior to the tournament. Bua officials maintain that they were unaware of the positive test results, attributing the oversight to an unread email from Fiji FA.
Keshav Sharma, an official from Lami, voiced his frustration and called on Fiji FA to ensure that such critical information is also provided in hard copy.
