Bua has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship after joining Nasinu from Group A. The tournament is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Officials from the Fiji Football Association (FFA) confirmed that although Nasinu and Lami initially qualified, a Fair Play points ruling permitted Bua to move forward in the competition. This development follows reports of several Bua players testing positive for banned substances prior to the tournament.
Bua officials stated they were unaware of the positive results due to an unread email from the FFA. Lami official Keshav Sharma expressed his disappointment, emphasizing the need for the FFA to communicate such critical information in hard copy as well.
