BSP Revolutionizes Remittances for Fijians with New Partnership

Bank South Pacific (BSP) has announced that customers at its Fiji Branch can now receive Western Union remittances directly into their BSP accounts. This development comes as part of a significant partnership between BSP and Fexco Fiji, which was revealed yesterday.

The collaboration aims to offer a wide range of financial products and services, with the goal of encouraging ownership of funds, enhancing safety and security, and fostering a culture of savings. Rajeshwar Singh, BSP’s relieving country head and chief financial officer, stated that this partnership is a vital aspect of BSP’s mission to provide modern and cost-effective banking solutions that promote financial security and inclusion.

“This collaboration underscores BSP’s dedication to delivering financial services that are accessible to all Fijians and are designed to help cultivate a more financially secure future,” Mr. Singh expressed. He noted that for individuals working overseas, this service streamlines the remittance process by allowing them to transfer money directly into the BSP accounts of their beneficiaries. This process removes the necessity for recipients to visit agents to collect their funds, providing them with more flexibility in managing their finances.

Customers can now safely access their funds through BSP ATMs and EFTPoS merchants, promoting a secure and savings-oriented approach to their financial activities. Fexco Fiji’s country manager, Feskatoa Kostatino, praised BSP for the partnership, emphasizing its role in fostering impactful synergies and innovation as they work together in the future.

“Our mutual commitment to providing efficient and reliable financial services has driven us to transform the remittance landscape in Fiji,” Mr. Kostatino remarked.
