BSP Revolutionizes Remittances for Fijians with New Partnership

Bank South Pacific (BSP) has announced that customers at its Fiji branch can now receive Western Union remittances directly into their BSP accounts. This new service comes as a result of a partnership established between BSP and Fexco Fiji, which was unveiled yesterday.

The collaboration aims to provide customers with access to a wide array of financial products and services while fostering responsible fund ownership, safety, security, and a culture of savings. Rajeshwar Singh, BSP’s relieving country head and chief financial officer, emphasized that this partnership is a crucial part of BSP’s mission to deliver affordable and modern banking solutions that enhance financial security and inclusion.

Singh stated that this service simplifies the remittance process for individuals working abroad, allowing them to send money straight into the BSP accounts of their beneficiaries. This development eliminates the need for recipients to visit agents for fund collection, thus providing them with the convenience to manage their financial affairs more effectively.

Recipients can safely access their funds through BSP ATMs and EFTPoS merchants, promoting a secure and savings-oriented attitude. Fexco Fiji’s country manager, Feskatoa Kostatino, praised BSP for their collaboration, stating that it creates opportunities for meaningful cooperation and innovation as they move forward together.

Kostatino expressed confidence that their mutual dedication to providing everyone access to efficient and reliable financial services would help transform the remittance system in Fiji.
