BSP Financial Group Limited has appointed Paul Black as the new General Manager for its Pacific Markets operations. This appointment follows a series of executive changes that were previously announced on August 7, affecting both the Australian Securities Exchange and the Port Moresby Exchange.
These leadership changes are part of the Bank’s strategy called Modernisation for Growth. Mark Robinson, the Group Chief Executive Officer, highlighted that Black’s extensive knowledge of the South Pacific and his considerable banking experience will be invaluable in achieving the organization’s modernisation objectives.
“Paul is an experienced leader, with a profound understanding of the South Pacific region where we operate. The executive changes we announced today underscore the depth of banking expertise at BSP and will strengthen our efforts towards modernising for growth,” Robinson stated.
Maryann Lameko Vaai, who has been leading the Pacific Markets business since 2022, will now take on the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer at BSP.
Paul Black brings over 35 years of banking experience, having joined BSP in 2011. He previously worked as Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking and has led teams in both Vanuatu and the Cook Islands.
