Bank South Pacific (BSP) has announced that customers at its Fiji Branch can now receive Western Union remittances directly into their BSP accounts. This development follows the establishment of a new partnership with Fexco Fiji.
The collaboration aims to provide customers with a comprehensive range of financial products and services, promoting responsible management of funds, enhancing safety and security, and fostering a culture of savings.
Rajeshwar Singh, BSP’s relieving country head and chief financial officer, emphasized that this partnership is essential to BSP’s mission of offering affordable and modern banking solutions that enhance financial security and inclusion. He stated that this service streamlines the remittance process for individuals working abroad, allowing them to send money directly into their beneficiaries’ BSP accounts, which removes the need for recipients to visit agents to collect their funds.
Singh highlighted that this feature gives recipients the ability to manage their finances more conveniently, as they can now safely access their money through BSP ATMs and EFTPoS merchants, encouraging a secure and savings-oriented approach.
Fexco Fiji’s country manager, Feskatoa Kostatino, expressed appreciation for the partnership with BSP. He noted that it creates opportunities for impactful collaboration and innovation as both companies work together in the future. Kostatino reiterated their mutual commitment to ensuring that all individuals have access to efficient and reliable financial services, aiming to transform the remittance landscape in Fiji.
