Brother New Zealand is seeking a new distributor for its products in Fiji and the wider Pacific region after ending its partnership with long-time distributor Telecom Fiji Ltd. This change was announced this week in Suva, with Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte Ltd named as the new partner.
Warwick Beban, managing director of Brother New Zealand, addressed the audience via video from Europe, sharing his enthusiasm for this new collaboration. He highlighted the opportunity for growth and the mutual benefits it could bring. “Fiji has been crucial for our business for many years. However, we reached a turning point when our long-term distribution partner indicated that our products were no longer considered essential for their future, prompting us to seek a representative who could fully represent our offerings,” Mr. Beban stated.
He emphasized the importance of having a dedicated partner to promote Brother’s complete product range in Fiji, which is essential for growth that would benefit all parties involved. Mr. Beban also noted the challenges with the previous distributor, TFL, particularly regarding the lack of technical and warranty support for Brother products.
“We are very concerned about TfL’s actions, and we appreciate that you, Pacific Brothers, have taken initiative to support the clients,” he remarked. The new agreement includes 24/7 help desk support and complimentary calls for customers.
