Nataliyah Taga, a determined 19-year-old student from Caukadrove, is studying Aircraft Maintenance Engineering at Fiji National University. Encouraged by her aunt, who owns Lei Entertainers, Nataliyah has chosen to participate in this year’s Coral Coast Festival as Miss Lei Entertainers.

Despite her naturally shy demeanor, Nataliyah views this contest as an opportunity to build her confidence and enhance her public speaking skills. She acknowledges that her aunt urged her to participate because of her lively personality, despite her tendency to be reserved around others.

This year’s festival theme is “Breaking the Waves of Addiction,” and Nataliyah has decided to focus her advocacy on the significance of family time. She believes that the home serves as a crucial foundation for healing and support, a sentiment deeply rooted in her upbringing as the youngest of six children raised by a single mother. Although her family faced financial challenges, their strong bond and love for one another provided them with immeasurable happiness.

Having attended several schools, including Christian Mission Fellowship Primary School and Sigatoka Methodist School, Nataliyah emphasizes the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone. She encourages others, particularly those who are shy or introverted, to embrace confidence and voice their thoughts.

Her story is a testament to resilience, highlighting the potential for personal growth when one dares to pursue new experiences. As Nataliyah presses on in her journey, she inspires many to find strength in their families and to bravely confront any challenges they face.

This narrative reflects a hopeful message about the power of family support and the importance of personal development, encouraging others to take similar steps towards self-improvement and advocacy.
