In an inspiring story from Fiji, 19-year-old Nataliyah Taga is proving that perseverance can lead to rewarding experiences. A student at Fiji National University, she is pursuing a degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and has embraced a new challenge by participating as Miss Lei Entertainers in this year’s Coral Coast Festival. Encouraged by her aunt, Nataliyah believes this opportunity will help her overcome her shyness and build her confidence.

The festival’s theme, “Breaking the Waves of Addiction,” resonates with her message about the importance of family time. Nataliyah, who was raised by a single mother as the youngest of six siblings, emphasizes healing through the home environment, crediting her family’s strong bond as a source of strength and happiness despite financial hardships.

She attended various schools, including Christian Mission Fellowship Primary School, Sigatoka Methodist School, and Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College, all of which have shaped her journey. Nataliyah encourages those who struggle with shyness to step out of their comfort zones, embrace confidence, and make their voices heard.

This story serves as a reminder that personal growth often comes from taking risks and that the power of family support can make a significant impact on one’s path to success. As Nataliyah embarks on this new chapter, her journey may inspire others to pursue their passions and advocate for change within their communities.
