Nataliyah Taga, a determined 19-year-old from Caukadrove and a student at Fiji National University specializing in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, is breaking through her shyness to embrace new opportunities. Encouraged by her aunt, who owns Lei Entertainers, Nataliyah decided to participate in this year’s Coral Coast Festival as Miss Lei Entertainers. She recognized this contest as a chance to build her confidence and become more outspoken, despite her typically reserved nature.
The theme of the festival, “Breaking the Waves of Addiction,” inspired Nataliyah to promote the significance of family time in fostering healing and support. Coming from a humble background, raised by a single mother as the youngest of six siblings, she knows firsthand the value of a close-knit family. Despite their financial challenges, her family’s love and unity have provided them with strength and joy.
Nataliyah’s educational journey took her from Christian Mission Fellowship Primary School to Sigatoka Methodist School and finally to Sigatoka Andhra Sangam College. She encourages others, particularly those who find themselves shy or introverted, to step out of their comfort zones, embrace confidence, and voice their opinions.
