Authorities are looking into a burglary that took place at the official residence of the Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Nasese. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the break-in occurred on September 29, despite the property being well-secured and monitored by FCS personnel. As of now, no arrests have been made.

FCS Commissioner Jalesi Nakarawa reported that a room was ransacked during the incident, and valuable traditional artifacts, including a whale’s tooth or tabua, were stolen. He also assured that no individuals were harmed during the break-in.
