Boosting Tax Systems: FRCS Reinforced by Australian Support

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) will continue to receive capacity-building programs and technical assistance from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) for another year.

FRCS Chief Executive Udit Singh stated that the partnership is focused on building a strong and effective working relationship.

Singh noted that this collaboration will help FRCS design and implement a robust, transparent, and effective tax regime in Fiji.

The FRCS expressed their gratitude for the exceptional support and commitment from the Australian Government and the ATO in enhancing Fiji’s tax administration.

Additionally, a senior ATO member visited FRCS for a technical mission aimed at establishing mechanisms for information exchange on request and spontaneous exchange of information. This initiative is intended to bolster FRCS’s capabilities in identifying, investigating, and combating tax crimes.
