BLK Lavidi Brothers claimed victory in a thrilling final at the Brimstone 7s tournament, overcoming Tabadamu with a score of 29-14 at Thomson Park in Navua yesterday.
Team captain Sefanaia Vuli expressed pride in the dedication shown by his team. “Our players earned their places through commitment and hard work, and this discipline was crucial in the competition,” Vuli stated.
He highlighted the need for focused training at the grassroots level to unearth and develop local talent, with the ultimate goal of representing Fiji on a global platform. Vuli also thanked the supporters and families who rallied behind the team, along with their coach and sponsor BLK for their continued support.
Looking forward, the team is preparing to defend their title at the upcoming Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s tournament.
In the women’s final, Lilian Amazon triumphed over Seahawks with a score of 24-17.
