Motorists experienced significant delays at Nadi International Airport yesterday due to a vehicle fire.
According to police spokesperson Constable Wame Batutolu, the incident took place at 10:30 AM when two vehicles collided, resulting in one vehicle, which was en route to Lautoka, catching fire. The 61-year-old driver failed to yield while navigating a roundabout to Nadi Airport after returning from Sabeto.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. It was noted that the traffic lights in the area have been malfunctioning for some time, with traffic being directed by cones.
