Nilshika Singh is a captivating young woman who embodies both beauty and intelligence. Originating from Sigatoka, she has achieved several personal milestones, including victories in beauty pageants and success in Taekwondo competitions held in Thailand and Fiji.

Growing up as an only child in a middle-class household, her upbringing equipped her with essential life skills and shaped her into the person she is today. “I never felt like anything was missing because my parents provided me everything I needed to grow into who I am,” Ms. Singh remarked, adding, “My only regret is that my mother isn’t here with me to celebrate.”

Her academic journey began at Nadi Sangam School, where she studied from 2004 to 2011, followed by attendance at Sangam SKM College from 2012 to 2015. Throughout her life, Ms. Singh has nurtured ambitious dreams for her future. “As a little kid, I had many ambitions, but my primary goal was to become an inspiration to others, encouraging them to believe in themselves,” she stated.

Determined and hardworking, Ms. Singh is not one to shy away from challenges. “I’m passionate about my work and know how to get things done,” she confidently expressed. Ms. Singh has won numerous local and international beauty titles, showcasing her island nation to a worldwide audience. In 2017, she embarked on her pageant journey in Fiji, earning accolades such as first runner-up, Charity Queen, and participating in the Miss India Fiji pageant. In 2018, she displayed her elegance at the Sugar Festival in Lautoka, and in 2023 she made her mark in Sydney, winning titles including Most Charming and Best Evening Gown at Miss Multicultural Global Australia.

Her most prestigious achievement came when she was crowned Mrs. M Universe Australia by national director Rox Molavin, and she went on to claim the Mrs. M Universe International title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Reflecting on her journey, she expressed that winning Mrs. M Universe was a remarkable experience filled with excitement, pride, and disbelief, marking a significant accomplishment that validated her hard work.

However, Ms. Singh’s influence extends beyond beauty competitions; she is also a black belt in Taekwondo, a Korean martial art that includes punching and kicking techniques. Recently, she was invited by Mrs. M Universe (Thailand) to compete in a Taekwondo event in Bangkok, representing her country after a five-year hiatus from training. “I trained with various teams around the world and even served as chief guest for the opening ceremony, where I delivered a speech,” she shared.

Looking ahead, Ms. Singh envisions herself becoming a head coach in either pageantry or Taekwondo within five years. “I see myself coaching multiple students and preparing them for international competitions to make our country proud.”

Currently, she works as a lead educator at Milestones Early Learning Centre in Australia, driven by her passion for nurturing children’s growth into successful individuals. “I love seeing children learn about the world and prepare for their futures,” she said. “I also take pride in helping childcare trainees develop their careers by sharing and developing new ideas.”

Her message to young people is to fearlessly pursue their talents and believe in themselves. She also encourages parents to support their children’s ambitions by allowing them the freedom to explore and grow. Ms. Singh’s journey serves as an inspiration to the younger generation, emphasizing that true potential can only be realized through commitment and determination.
