Nilshika Singh is an inspiring young woman known for her beauty and intelligence, hailing from Sigatoka. Throughout her life, she has achieved significant milestones, including winning beauty pageants and excelling in Taekwondo competitions both in Thailand and Fiji.

As an only child in a middle-class family, she felt fully supported by her parents, who provided her with everything she needed to thrive. “I never felt like anything was missing because my parents gave me everything I ever needed to grow into who I am today,” Ms. Singh expressed, adding that her only regret is not having her mother by her side to celebrate her achievements.

Ms. Singh began her academic journey at Nadi Sangam School, continuing her education at Sangam SKM College. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming an inspiration to others. “My main goal in life was to become an inspiration to others so they could believe in themselves,” she shared, emphasizing her hardworking nature and passion for overcoming challenges.

She has won numerous local and international beauty pageants, showcasing her island nation’s talent to a global audience. Beginning her pageant journey in Fiji in 2017, she earned various titles, including first runner-up and charity queen, and participated in the Miss India Fiji pageant. In 2018, she gained recognition at the Sugar Festival in Lautoka, and in 2023, she made her mark in Sydney’s pageant scene, winning titles like Most Charming and Best Evening Gown at Miss Multicultural Global Australia.

Her crowning achievement was being named Mrs. M Universe Australia and later securing the prestigious Mrs. M Universe International title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Winning these titles filled her with pride and a profound sense of accomplishment, validating her hard work.

Additionally, Ms. Singh is a black belt in Taekwondo, breaking stereotypes in a male-dominated sport. Recently invited to a Taekwondo competition in Bangkok by Mrs. M Universe Thailand, she competed after a five-year absence from training, showcasing her resilience and commitment to martial arts. During the event, she served as the chief guest at the opening ceremony, inspiring others with her speech.

Looking ahead, Ms. Singh hopes to become a head coach in either pageantry or Taekwondo within five years, aspiring to train students to compete internationally and bring pride to her country.

Currently, she serves as a lead educator at Milestones Early Learning Centre in Australia, where she finds joy in helping young children grow and develop. “I enjoy watching children grow every day as they learn new things about the world,” she said, taking pride in mentoring childcare trainees as well.

Her advice to the young generation is to fearlessly pursue their talents while encouraging parents to nurture their children’s abilities. Ms. Singh’s journey, now as a permanent resident of Australia, serves as an inspiration for others to pursue their dreams and recognize their potential through dedication and hard work.
