Bati Begins Countdown to Pacific Bowl Championship

The Vodafone Fiji Bati squad gathered in camp yesterday as they commenced their preparations for the Pacific Bowl Championship. Coach Waisake Kativerata announced that training will begin today. “We will convene at the Grand Pacific Hotel and hold a church service,” he said.

Kativerata emphasized the importance of a steady buildup to their match scheduled for Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. “Training starts Monday at 9 am. We will walk from Albert Park to the hotel for our first session,” he added.

He also mentioned that a game plan for the championship is already in place. “We have just one week to prepare, but most of the players come from professional backgrounds, so they understand what is required of them,” he noted.

Kativerata expressed his confidence in his assistant coaches, particularly highlighting John Sutton from South Sydney. “We’ll concentrate on the small details as we approach Saturday’s game,” he stated.
