Votua Catholic Primary School and Ba Muslim Primary School showcased outstanding performances at the Ba Primary Schools athletics competition, which concluded yesterday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Votua Catholic School excelled in the girls’ division, securing four gold medals and earning the Ajay Kumar-sponsored trophy. In the boys’ division, Ba Muslim Primary School emerged victorious with two gold medals. The two-day event attracted athletes from 40 schools in the district, highlighting young talent and intense competition.
Ana Tuiova, the event coordinator, commended the athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship. “It’s incredible to see these young students giving their best. Their determination and the level of talent this year were outstanding,” she remarked.
The stands were filled with parents and supporters cheering proudly for their children. For many participants, the competition transcended the pursuit of medals, focusing instead on inspiring the next generation of athletes.
