Ba FA President Azam Ali has mentioned that the senior men’s team is still a work in progress under the guidance of Timoci Seru, who recently took charge of the squad.
“Timoci Seru has been part of the team’s coaching panel for a considerable time, and he has been leading the team for the last two weeks. I was pleased with his performance in the first match against Navua,” Ali stated.
He noted that playing away against Navua is always a challenge, but the team performed admirably, resulting in a draw.
Despite this, Ba’s recent performances have raised concerns among both supporters and critics. The once-dominant Men in Black have found it difficult to replicate their past successes, with inconsistency becoming a common theme.
Ali recognized this issue, emphasizing that the team values the feedback from critics.
Looking ahead, Ba plans to field their youth players against Nadroga in the DFPL Round 14, aiming for a positive outcome. The match is scheduled to take place at the Fiji FA Ba Academy Grounds on Sunday at 3pm.
