A new bakery business is making strides in the Dama area of Bua, fostering community development through local employment and product availability. Tevita Loga, age 56, runs the bakery named Three T’s, which has been operational for only a month after a successful launch supported by community initiatives.

Loga reports that the business is gaining popularity among the locals, with sales steadily increasing, particularly in Dama village. The bakery was established to provide accessible and fresh bakery products, which had previously been challenging for residents due to limited supply and distance from larger markets.

Currently, the bakery offers a range of products, including bread, cream buns, cheese buns, pizza, and coconut rolls, catering to local tastes. It aims to support over 130 families in the village by providing employment opportunities in a region that is often underserved.

As demand continues to rise, Loga expresses optimism for the future, noting the importance of community support and involvement in the business’s growth. The venture represents not only a local source of goods but also a commitment to improving life in the area through sustainable business practices.

The success of the bakery highlights the potential for small businesses in rural areas to make a significant impact on their communities. Loga encourages young people to engage in entrepreneurial activities and contribute positively to the local economy.
