Tevita Loga, a 56-year-old business owner, is actively contributing to local community development through his bakery business, Three T’s, located in Naruwai, Dama, Bua. The business has been operational for just over a month and is gaining traction, catering to the needs of the local population, particularly in Dama within the Bua region.

Loga, who has experience in government work, emphasized the importance of establishing a bakery to assist community members. His bakery not only serves as a business but also acts as a vital resource for residents, providing convenient access to baked goods that were previously hard to find.

The bakery offers a variety of products, including cream buns, cheese buns, pizza, coconut rolls, and cakes, thereby meeting the demands of approximately 130 households in the area. Many residents from surrounding localities, such as Kubulau and Nasolo, are now able to purchase these goods without traveling long distances.

Loga’s bakery is witnessing steady growth, partly due to increased demand for baked goods from local customers. Over the past three weeks, the business has experienced positive sales, reflecting Loga’s commitment to enhancing the local economy and providing a reliable service for people residing in the region.

Loga highlights the challenges faced by businesses like his, particularly regarding transportation and accessibility for customers coming from nearby towns. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic and encourages locals, especially the youth, to embrace work opportunities that will elevate their living standards and enhance the local economy.

As the community continues to support local ventures, Loga is hopeful that his bakery will inspire other entrepreneurs to invest in similar businesses that can help uplift the community.
