Ba Schools Shine in Thrilling Athletics Showdown!

The Ba Primary Schools athletics competition, held at Churchill Park in Lautoka, concluded yesterday, showcasing the talents of young athletes from 40 schools. Votua Catholic Primary School excelled in the girls’ division, securing four gold medals and claiming the Ajay Kumar-sponsored trophy. Meanwhile, Ba Muslim Primary School led the boys’ division, achieving two gold medals.

Event co-ordinator Ana Tuiova commended the athletes for their hard work and sportsmanship. She remarked on the remarkable determination and talent displayed this year.

The stands were filled with parents and supporters, who enthusiastically cheered for their children. For many participants, the event transcended mere competition; it fostered encouragement for future generations of athletes.

The two-day event featured exciting races, narrow finishes, and impressive performances in both track and field disciplines, indicating a promising future for athletics in the Ba region.
