Ba Schools Shine in Thrilling Athletics Competition!

Votua Catholic Primary School and Ba Muslim Primary School excelled at the Ba Primary Schools athletics competition held at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday. Votua Catholic School was particularly dominant in the girls’ division, securing four gold medals and earning the Ajay Kumar-sponsored trophy. Meanwhile, Ba Muslim Primary School stood out in the boys’ division, taking home two gold medals.

The two-day event attracted athletes from 40 schools across the district, presenting a platform for showcasing young talent and fierce competition. Event coordinator Ana Tuiova commended the participants for their exceptional performances, emphasizing their dedication and sportsmanship.

“It’s incredible to see these young students giving their best. Their determination and the level of talent this year were outstanding,” she stated.

Parents and supporters filled the stands, proudly cheering for their children. For many, the competition was not solely about winning medals but also about nurturing the next generation of athletes.

The event featured thrilling races and close finishes, with notable performances in both track and field events, pointing to a promising future for athletics in Ba.
