The Ba Golf Club will continue under its current leadership after an Annual General Meeting held yesterday, with only one executive change: Joeli Dakunimata has been appointed club treasurer, replacing outgoing treasurer Sailesh Kumar.
Members confirmed that all other incumbents were re-elected to serve another term. Club captain Asish Chand will remain in charge on the course, supported by vice-captain Jyoti Lal and secretary Pradeep Chandra. Rajen Singh continues as Greens Chair and Rohit Chandra stays on as Tournament Director. The club publicly acknowledged and thanked Sailesh Kumar for his service as he steps down from the treasury role.
The club also finalised arrangements for its Stroke Tournament scheduled for tomorrow at the FSC Ba Golf Club course. Registration opens at 1.00pm with tee-off set for 1.30pm. The entry fee is $15.
Officials named four starters for the event: Ravinesh Chand, Damon Chen, Yash Kumar and Ramen Chaudhary. Cards will be handled by a team including outgoing treasurer Sailesh Kumar alongside new treasurer Joeli Dakunimata, vice-captain Jyoti Lal and Manish Patel. The match committee overseeing the tournament comprises Rajen Singh, captain Asish Chand, Raven Kumar and secretary Pradeep Chandra.
The AGM and tournament confirmation come after a busy weekend of club competition. In last Sunday’s Two Men Ambrose event, Bola and Josese Wara claimed first place, with Asish Chand and Raven Kumar finishing second. Abdul Khan and Azhar took third place, while Azhar also collected the nearest-to-pin prize.
Club members said retaining the existing executive team was intended to maintain continuity as the club moves into its competition calendar for the year. Tomorrow’s Stroke Tournament will be the first major test of form and organisation under the refreshed lineup, with organisers expecting a competitive field and smooth operations after the AGM decisions.
