Aspen Medical Enhances Emergency Fleet for Hospitals.

Aspen Medical has procured two new ambulances to serve the Ba and Lautoka hospitals.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Military model ambulances, featuring a 4.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission, will enhance patient and team safety during transfers between the hospitals.

Chief Operations Officer in Fiji, Barry Herberts, stated, “The ambulances adhere to Australian Standards and are equipped with a full range of medical equipment required for emergencies on the road.”

“While we have introduced our ambulance services, we will continue to collaborate with other service providers to meet the needs of our patients,” he added.

In the first half of this year, a total of 1,065 patients have been transferred between the hospitals.

Aspen Medical Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a Public-Private Partnership company formed between the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical Pty Ltd to manage the Lautoka Hospital and Ba Hospital under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
