After two successful years of operating an online business, Asma Fareha Khan has decided to open a retail store to better serve her customers. She is the founder of Asma Fashion Closet, which is situated on the main street in Nadi Town.

Originally from Punjab, India, Ms. Khan brings substantial expertise in fashion, product variety, and quality to her new venture. She is married to Manuawar Khan, an established information technology expert in Nadi.

“This has been our dream to enter this business,” she expressed. “Our store’s modern layout offers our customers a cozy and comfortable shopping experience. The idea is to create an ambiance that feels like a personal closet.”

The store features a selection of unique and fashionable women’s attire, including clothing, shoes, jewelry, luxury clutches, handbags, hijabs, and various accessories.

Mr. Khan believes there is significant potential for retail sales of the latest Indian ethnic and Indo-western clothing and accessories in Fiji. “The market in Fiji is quite competitive, but our goal is to provide quality and unique items that are not commonly found here,” he stated.

While there are no manufacturing facilities in Fiji currently, some of their products are tailored to be distinctive in the market. They have invested approximately $60,000 in setting up and stocking their showroom, which currently employs two staff members.

Mr. Khan also noted plans to expand the business by opening additional showrooms in the western division.
