After successfully operating her online business for two years, Asma Fareha Khan has embarked on a new venture by investing in a brick-and-mortar retail store to cater to her customers’ demands. She has opened the Asma Fashion Closet showroom, situated on the main street of Nadi Town.

Originally from Punjab, India, Ms. Khan possesses a wealth of knowledge in fashion, product ranges, and quality standards. She is married to Manuawar Khan, a prominent information technology expert based in Nadi.

“It has been our dream to venture into this business,” Ms. Khan expressed. “The modern setup of our store provides a cozy and comfortable shopping experience for our customers. The concept is designed to make them feel like it’s a closet.”

The showroom features a selection of unique and stylish women’s fashion wear, including clothing, footwear, jewelry, luxury clutches, handbags, hijabs, and various accessories.

Manuawar Khan believes that Fiji presents a promising market for retail sales of contemporary Indian ethnic and Indo-western clothing and accessories. “While the market is quite competitive in Fiji, our focus will always be on introducing quality and unique items that are not commonly available here,” he stated.

Currently, there are no manufacturing facilities in Fiji; however, some products sold at their store are customized to stand out. The couple has invested nearly $60,000 in establishing and stocking their showroom and currently employs two staff members. They have plans to expand their business further by opening additional showrooms in the western division.
