After two successful years of running her online business, Asma Fareha Khan has taken a significant step by opening a retail store to cater to growing client demand. She has established the Asma Fashion Closet showroom, located on the main street in Nadi Town.
Ms. Khan, hailing from Punjab, India, brings a wealth of knowledge in fashion, product ranges, and quality. She is married to Manuawar Khan, a prominent information technology expert based in Nadi.
“It has been our dream to venture into this business,” she shared. “The modern design of our store provides a cozy and comfortable shopping experience, aimed at making customers feel like it’s their own closet.”
The showroom offers a variety of unique and stylish women’s fashion items, including clothing, footwear, jewelry, luxury clutches, handbags, hijabs, and various accessories.
Mr. Khan sees significant potential for retail sales of contemporary Indian ethnic and Indo-western clothing and accessories in Fiji. “The market is competitive, but we will prioritize bringing quality and distinct products that are not commonly available in Fiji,” he stated.
While there is currently no manufacturing facility in Fiji, they customize some products to ensure they stand out. “We have invested nearly $60,000 in setting up and stocking our showroom, and we currently employ two staff members.”
They also have future plans to expand their business in the western division by launching more showrooms.
