After successfully operating her online business for the past two years, Asma Fareha Khan has chosen to invest in a retail store to cater to growing customer demand. She has established the Asma Fashion Closet showroom, located on the main street of Nadi Town.

Originally from Punjab, India, Ms. Khan possesses extensive expertise in fashion, product assortments, and their quality. She is married to Manuawar Khan, a prominent information technology professional based in Nadi.

“It has been our dream to venture into this business,” she expressed. “The modern layout of our store provides a cozy and comfortable shopping experience for our customers. The shop is designed to make the customer feel as though they are in a closet.”

Ms. Khan noted that they import distinctive and fashionable women’s clothing, footwear, jewelry, luxury clutches, handbags, hijabs, and various accessories.

Manuawar Khan has identified significant potential for retail sales of contemporary Indian ethnic and Indo-western clothing and accessories within Fiji. “Although the market is quite competitive in Fiji, we will consistently aim to introduce high-quality and unique items that are not commonly available here,” he stated.

Currently, there are no manufacturing facilities in Fiji, though some products are tailored to ensure they stand out in the marketplace. “We have invested nearly $60,000 in establishing and stocking our showroom, and we currently employ two staff members,” he added. Furthermore, they have plans to expand their business in the western division by opening additional showrooms.
