After two successful years of operating her online business, Asma Fareha Khan has taken the next step by opening a retail store to cater to client demand. She is the founder of the Asma Fashion Closet, which is located on the main street of Nadi Town.

A native of Punjab, India, Ms. Khan has a deep understanding of fashion, product varieties, and quality. She is married to Manuawar Khan, a prominent information technology professional based in Nadi.

“It has been our dream to venture into this business,” she expressed. “The modern design of our store provides customers with a cozy and comfortable shopping experience, aiming to make them feel as though they are in a closet.”

Ms. Khan highlighted that their inventory includes unique and fashionable women’s clothing, footwear, jewelry, luxury clutches, handbags, hijabs, and various accessories.

Manuawar Khan believes that Fiji’s market holds significant potential for retailing contemporary Indian ethnic and Indo-western attire and accessories. “Although the competition is fierce, our focus will always remain on offering quality and unique items that are not commonly available in Fiji,” he stated.

At present, there are no manufacturing facilities in Fiji, but some of their items are customized to ensure they stand out in the marketplace. “We have invested around $60,000 in setting up and stocking our showroom, and so far, we have two staff members,” he noted. Additionally, he mentioned plans for business expansion by opening more showrooms in the western division.
