The National Fire Authority has officially classified the fire at the Defence Club in Suva as arson. The incident, which occurred earlier this year, has recently been investigated. NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane announced that the investigation into the fire, which took place on February 27, has been completed. He noted that the fire’s cause was determined to be arson based on the investigation’s findings, including the origin and source of the flames. The case file has been forwarded to the Police Crime Office. Additionally, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa has confirmed that the police have received the report, stating that investigators will begin analyzing the findings.
