Kishore Kumar, a suspended teacher, is seeking to have an Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert assess the authenticity of an adult video that allegedly features politician Lenora Qereqeretabua. Kumar has been accused of making false pornographic claims against Qereqeretabua and appeared before Magistrate Seini Puamau for a hearing last Friday.
During the previous session of the case, Kumar presented what he claims is the pornographic video, which was viewed in the magistrate’s chambers. He expressed his desire for the video to be considered as evidence in the case. However, the State opposed this, arguing that the video had been altered.
In response, Kumar asked the court to allow an AI expert to provide a professional evaluation, also asserting that he himself has expertise in the field. Magistrate Puamau requested Kumar to submit legitimate proof of his qualifications in artificial intelligence.
She indicated that a decision on his request would be made after both parties and potential witnesses had testified regarding the video’s admissibility. Consequently, the video will not be presented until Kumar’s related administrative matters are resolved and ruled upon.
Kumar is facing charges of indecently annoying a person and criminal intimidation and is representing himself in this case. The hearing is ongoing.
