After six years of dedication, Avisaki Buirokotuiloma has successfully completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of the South Pacific. Raised in a supportive environment by her parents, she also took on the challenge of earning her own income to fund her education.
Graduating on Friday was a significant milestone for Ms. Buirokotuiloma and represented the realization of her long-held dreams. She reflected on the financial difficulties she faced during her studies, acknowledging that at times she contemplated giving up. However, she credited her parents’ unwavering support and encouragement as her primary motivators throughout this journey.
Ms. Buirokotuiloma expressed heartfelt gratitude for the prayers and support from her family and relatives, emphasizing that her success would not have been possible without them. To help finance her education, she took on part-time jobs while managing her academic responsibilities and household duties, demonstrating remarkable resilience.
Hailing from Navuniyasi in Naitasiri, her aspiration to become a teacher is now on the brink of fulfillment. She has always envisioned herself in the classroom, and she is excited to see that vision coming to life. With her degree, she is eager to secure stable employment and contribute to her family. She believes it is never too late to achieve one’s goals, and she is thrilled to have finally accomplished this significant achievement.
