Aseri Radrodro, the leader of the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) and Minister for Education, has expressed his strong commitment to using historical lessons to guide Fiji towards a united and prosperous future. In his New Year message, Radrodro emphasized his vision of cultivating a nation where all Fijians, irrespective of their backgrounds or ethnicities, can coexist harmoniously.

He quoted Proverbs 29:18 from the Bible to underline the significance of clear leadership and a shared vision: “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” This reference highlights the importance of leadership driven by a common purpose and steadfast faith in collective progress.

Looking ahead to 2025, Radrodro reaffirmed SODELPA’s dedication to serving the community with integrity and determination. He stressed the necessity of enhancing party policies to empower all communities, especially vulnerable groups such as Indigenous populations, emphasizing their vital role in overall progress.

Radrodro urged the nation to step into the new year with renewed determination, fostering unity and progress as he believes that together, they can transform 2025 into a year filled with hope and positive change for all Fijians.

This message of unity and inclusivity reflects a hopeful vision for the future, suggesting that collective effort and commitment will pave the way for a brighter Fiji. The focus on vulnerable communities signifies a compassionate approach to governance, fostering hope among those who may currently feel marginalized.
