John Rabuku has been appointed as the new Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, effective August 14. Acting DPP Nancy Tikoisuva confirmed that the appointment process adhered to established protocols, with an independent panel tasked with selecting the most qualified candidate for the role.
The position had been vacant since the tenure of the late David Toganivalu, who served as Deputy DPP in 2010. Tikoisuva emphasized that Rabuku’s extensive knowledge and experience, along with his familiarity with the office, will enhance the team’s capabilities. She stated, “Mr. Rabuku needs no introduction. His appointment can only add strength and capacity to our office.”
