A Long-Awaited Lifeline: New Boat Delivers Hope to Rural Health Care

Spread the love

The health facility in Namuka had to wait a minimum of two months for their new boat, as stated by the Minister for Health, Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu. The minister noted that the villagers had been waiting for 25 years for the delivery of this boat, making the additional wait time inconsequential.

Dr. Lalabalavu expressed his desire to personally deliver the boat to the health facility. He informed the nurse a few weeks prior to the handover that the boat was ready for delivery, and she was thrilled to receive the news. The new boat will be instrumental in assisting the villagers of Tawake and surrounding islands, as many depend on this health facility for their medical needs.
