The health facility in Namuka experienced a two-month delay for the arrival of their new boat, as stated by Health Minister Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu. The minister noted that the villagers had been waiting for 25 years for a boat, so an additional two months was manageable.

Dr. Lalabalavu expressed his desire to personally deliver the boat to the health facility. He informed the attending nurse a few weeks prior to Thursday’s handover that the boat was ready, leading to her great happiness upon hearing the news.

The new boat will provide essential services to residents of Tawake and other nearby islands. Dr. Lalabalavu emphasized the importance of the health facility for the villagers in Tawake and surrounding communities.
