Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a cherished friend and a dedicated professional during his funeral service at Dignified Crematorium yesterday. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka honored Mr. Maharaj’s contributions to the printing industry, acknowledging that he had established his company in 1982 and had cultivated it into a leader in the local sector over the past four decades.

The legacy of Mr. Maharaj extends beyond his business, as his company was instrumental in shaping Fiji’s printing landscape and supporting various local enterprises. In addition to founding Quality Print, he co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit. Mr. Maharaj was also deeply involved in community service; he played a crucial role in setting up the Kidney Foundation of Fiji and contributed actively to numerous charitable organizations. His leadership experience included serving in the Rotary Club since 1990 and presiding as national president of the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.
