A Brother’s Tribute: Remembering a Boxing Legend

Spread the love

At a heartfelt gathering attended by over 200 individuals, Briendel Kyle Singh delivered a touching tribute to his late brother, famed boxer Ubayd Haider, who was known earlier as Nathan Singh. Briendel’s speech stirred deep emotions as he reminisced about the frequent sibling conflicts that characterized their relationship.

He candidly shared, “Honestly, me and Nathan, our brothers, are always in a conflict and quarrel almost every day. I think me and Nathan fought more than he fought his opponents.” His reflections highlighted the often trivial nature of their disagreements, such as minor irritations that stemmed from sharing space.

Briendel expressed a regret that many can relate to—the realization of a sibling’s importance only after they are gone. “It’s like, I always get annoyed with his presence. It’s like, never value them when they’re there, but when they go, you know how much they mean to you,” he explained.

Despite their parents’ lessons on the value of sibling bonds, it took time for Briendel to appreciate the depth of his connection with Nathan and their other brother. He proudly remarked, “I’m so proud of standing beside both my brothers and I put my chest out because I know I got the best brothers for me.”

In his contemplation of loss and faith, Briendel spoke of the enigmatic nature of God’s plan, suggesting that challenges are often tests leading to greater rewards. He emphasized that Nathan’s legacy would continue to shine through the talents he left behind, insisting they would unite as a team to honor him.

“Nathan may have left us, but he left a great talent, and with that talent, we are a team, that will bring glory upon his name,” Briendel affirmed. He concluded his tribute with a powerful message of hope, indicating that while they may have lost Nathan physically, his spirit would always be with them, watching over as they carried forward his legacy.

This gathering serves as a reminder of the importance of cherishing loved ones while they are present. In moments of reflection and shared grief, families can find solace in one another, drawing strength from their shared memories and the talents of those they have lost.
