72 and Graduating: A Dream Fulfilled Against the Odds

Divendra Prasad Sharma, at the age of 72, recently achieved his lifelong dream of graduating from university. His inspiration to pursue a degree came during the orientation week at the University of the South Pacific (USP) Laucala Campus earlier this year. As the eldest of nine siblings, Mr. Sharma made history as the first in his family to earn a university qualification. He was awarded a Certificate IV in Counseling from the USP Pacific Technical and Further Education.
