A 70-year-old man has been charged with indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl and is set to appear in the Magistrate Court in Navua this morning.
According to police, the incident allegedly occurred at the man’s home on the afternoon of August 9, 2024. Both the accused and the victim live in the same community. The offence was reported to the Navua Police by the victim’s uncle.
The man faces one count of Indecent Assault under Section 212 (1) of the Crimes Act 2009.
